We practise Powerflow Vinyasa which is a strength based fitness style of yoga that builds heat in the body and take the body through full range of movement!
Our Hot Yoga classes are practised in 35 degree heat. Expect an energetic and dynamic style of yoga where we have bursts of energy and effort with short recovery breaks. Rather than long holds, expect more fluid movement and transitions. Advanced students can advance their practise, but beginner students will follow along with our accessible sequences. Most new students can follow along. Expect to sweat! Classes in 45 & 60 minute format
Power Flow is practised in 30 degree heat. We get straight into movement, lots of Sun A flow, lots of core, and a focus on building strength in the body first then mobility. We link movement with powerful breath, producing a cardiovascular type of exercise which is unlike any exercise out there! Often sequences of the same postures are repeated in order for the student to get familiar with them and to find a rhythm to their practice. Classes in 45 & 60 minute format
While Hot & Power classes are considered "yang" with a focus on muscular movement, yin yoga targets the deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower but not necessarily "easier", giving you space to turn inward and tune into the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues. Classes in 45 & 60 minute format
